We do not limit on the age for children to be seen at Young Family Dentistry.
Children should be seen by dentist as early as one-year old or as soon as their baby teeth start erupting.
Cavities are the most common oral disease in children even as young as 8-12 months (not years) old.
Children frequently get into accidents while playing and injure their front tooth and/or lips.
Children's teeth (baby teeth or primary teeth) are equally important as adult's teeth (permanent teeth.)
Children will have mixed dentition (both permanent and primary teeth) until around age 12-13. Having the recommended amount of fluoride iron in their food or water during those years will ensure that the enamel gets the right amount of fluoride and prevent cavities.
Here are some pointers for caring for children's teeth at home.
